Funeral services for Katherine L. Goeden, 80, East Moline, are 11AM Saturday at Crossroads Christian Center, 142 16th Avenue, East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 2 hours prior to services at the church. Katherine died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Aspen Care Center, Silvis. Memorials may be made to the Genesis Illini Hospital Birth Center. Katherine was born September 9, 1930 in Warsaw, IL, the daughter of Harry and Florence Haggee Lucas. She married John Goeden on October 27, 1950 in Rock Island. Mrs. Goeden was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, crocheting and taking long walks. She had a special love for babies and would volunteer her knitting skills to make hats for newborns. Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years, John, children; Joanne Goeden, East Moline, David Goeden, Hooppole, John Michael Goeden, Princeton, IA, Kathleen Fuller, Rock Island, Karen DeCock, Moline, Brian Goeden, Colona, Karyl Mienke, Hudson, WI, Robert Goeden, Eddyville, IA, and Kristine Lister, Tucson, AZ, fifteen grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, sisters; Margaret Hoffman, Helen Eckloff, both of East Moline, and Pauline Eckloff, Milan, and a brother Joe Lucas, Colorado.
