Memorial services for Kathi L. Sweeney, 55, of Bettendorf, IA, will be 6:00PM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be 3:00-6:00PM prior to services at the funeral home. Kathi died Monday, December 16, 2013 at her home. Memorials may be made to the family. Kathi was born April 21, 1958 in Moline, the daughter of Ronald and Janyce Valentine Hudson. She was currently working as a sales representative for Conway Freight, Rock Island, IL. She was naturally athletic. She loved all types of sports, and had been an avid runner and boater. She was a very outgoing person. She loved her family and friends, especially her mother. Survivors include her mother, Janyce Valentine, East Moline; father, Ronald (Chris) Hudson, Rock Island; sisters, Julie Valentine, Mesa, AZ, Cheryl Theofilis, Rock Island, Pam McCutcheon, Bettendorf, and Lori (Gary) Barr, East Moline; nieces and nephews, Kayla Theofilis, Cory Valentine, Lindsey Ramos, Tanner and Daniel McCutcheon, Marshall and Brett Barr; great nephew, Nico Ramos; best friend, her dog, Lucy.
