Kathleen "Kathy" Johnson, 80, of Silvis, IL, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at her home after a long illness. Visitation will be 2-5 PM Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL. Private graveside services will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery.

Kathy was born April 4, 1943, in Macomb, IL, the daughter of Glenn and Anna Manning Hall. She married Joseph Johnson May 28, 1983, in Moline, IL. Kathy taught in the Carbon Cliff/Barstow School system for 37 years. She and her husband were very active in the community. They were members of the Exchange Club and volunteers for WQPT and the John Deere Classic.

Kathy was a member of Harmony Inc (National Barbershop Organization) and locally sang in the Aged to Perfection Quartet.

Survivors include her husband Joe; son, Charles "Chuck" Hayden, Hampton, IL; grandchildren, Alicia, Charlie, Zach, Aubrey, and Michael; her brother, Jim (Marcia) Hall, Macomb; nephew, Jeff Majeske, Canton, MI; and nieces, Amy (Bryan) Bird, St. Louis, MO, and Becky (Cory) Fisher, Indianapolis, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Carol Majeske.
