Kathleen "Kip" Painter-Majeski 56, Silvis, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at her home. Funeral services are 10 AM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be at 12 noon Saturday at Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown, IL. Visitation is 4-7PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at any Wells Fargo Bank in the name of Kathleen Painter-Majeski or Adam Majeski. Kathleen Painter was born January 21, 1956 in Moline, the daughter of Frank and Darleen (DuPre) Painter. She attended John Deere School, East Moline, St. Mary's School, East Moline and graduated from UTHS. She married Arnold Majeski on September 15, 1979 and together they had a son, Adam. She had worked at Mallard Maintenance and did custodial work at the bank and nursing home in Prophetstown. Kip enjoyed drawing, crocheting, decorating and staying in touch with her friends and family. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Adam and April Majeski, Montgomery, TX, granddaughter, Autumn Sproull, her father Frank, East Moline, sister, Therese James, East Moline, brother Steven Painter, Havana, IL, nephew, Nathan, and nieces, Kristin, Megan and Katie, and her cat Rosie. She was preceded in death by her mother.
