Funeral services for Kathryn A. Johnson, 88, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Kathryn Hamilton was born August 19, 1916 in Yorktown, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Vera (Ringel) Hamilton. She married Ray C. Johnson, July 31, 1937. Although Kathryn considered herself a homemaker, she had worked for Tupperware, local restaurants, W.T. Grant, Carson Prairie Scott, and she retired in 1982 from Montgomery Ward at South Park Mall, Moline, IL. She was a member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline, IL. Survivors include: her husband of 67 years, Ray Johnson of East Moline, IL; sons and daughters-in-law, Myron and Mary Ann Johnson of Illinois City, IL, Wayne and Gloria Johnson of Kirkwood, PA; grandchildren and spouses; Shelly and David Kauzlarich, Kimberly and Kraig Kain, Scott and Jamie Johnson, Kristine and Tim Sandlin, Garry and Betty Johnson, Wendy and Steven Hess, Jody and Michael Stuart; great grandchildren, Amanda, Katie and Morgan Kauzlarich, Bailee and Hannah Kain, Tayler and Hunter Johnson, Libby and Abby Sandlin, Samantha, Garry and Danielle Johnson, Steven Jr, Wesley and Rebecca Hess, Ashley, Michael Jr. and Lindsey Stuart; brother and sister-in-law, H. Clark and Wilma Hamilton of Las Vegas, NV; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; special friend, Cindy Minard. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Marjorie, Mabel, Ruth Mary, Doris and Janice.
