Kathy graduated from United Township High School (East Moline, IL) in 1967 and attended Blackhawk College (Moline, IL). She met her husband Jack at Turnstyle and they married in 1971. They made their home in Moline, IL where they raised two children. This coming year they would have celebrated their 50th anniversary.

Kathy earned the role of supervisor at Case n Bottle, Lee's Liquor and Wells Fargo Liquor.  She also worked as a slot supervisor on the President Casino.  Her last endeavor was owning Earthly Scents in Moline for several years.  Kathy  loved anything Irish and was proud of her Irish roots. She also loved sorting recipes, cooking, gardening and most of all she loved her grandchildren and making special memories with them.  Many of those memories were made at Panama City B each and her "happiest place on Earth", Disney World.

Survivors include her husband, Jack, children; Stephanie Fillingham, Macomb, IL and Justin (Nia) Trent, Hampton, IL, grandchild r en; Katie, Renny, Riley, Lilith, Keegan and Kiley and siblings Bonnie Lingner, East Moline, Steve (Ann) Lingner, Sun City, AZ and Deb Lingner, Moline.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathy was friendly, caring, giving, courageous and so much more. She was a warrior and fought until the very end, defying odds that were given.  She will be missed by many.

Private family services are being held.

Memorials can be made out to the family for grandchildren's college funds.
