Kay M. Etzel, formerly of Hampton, Illinois, peacefully went home to be with our Lord on Friday, June 26, 2026.

A private service and interment will be at Rock Island Memorial Park, Rock Island, IL. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born on June 5, 1933, and graduated from Rock Island High School. She married the love of her life, Leonard K. Etzel on May 22, 1954, and they had four sons. She was a Secretary at John Deere for 22 years, retiring in 1996.

Kay loved hosting the Holidays at The Hampton Inn. They were always filled with love and all the special family recipes. She collected Longaberger Baskets and Isabel Blooms. She loved listening to The Gaithers and playing card games.

She is preceeded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard; and sons, Craig, Todd, and Scott. She is survived by her last son Kent (Lori) Etzel of Illinois, and daughters-in-law; Suzanne Etzel (Indiana), Kelly Etzel (South Dakota), and Robyn Etzel Carberry (Colorado). She had 9 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren.
