Keith D. Anderson, 83, East Moline, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Brent's Park, C/O PAWS 4001 78th Ave., Moline. Funeral services are 9 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion Post 246 will conduct military honors. Visitation is 2-6 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Keith was born November 29, 1928 in Shenandoah, IA, the son of Rudolph and Alice (Kepple) Anderson. He served in the US Army. He married Jean Boehm on March 27, 1951 in Moline. Keith owned and operated East Moline Glass from 1960 until his retirement in 1995. Keith's son and grandchildren continue in the glass business at the East Moline location and at Arrow Glass in Urbana, IL. He enjoyed playing golf, attending his grandchildren's sporting events, University of Illinois' wrestling and the game of baseball. He was a 50 year member of the Moline American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Jean, children, Linda (Mark) Johnson, Champaign, IL and Larry Anderson, Sherrard, IL, grandchildren, Brooke Anderson, Todd (Lindsay) Anderson, Whitney (Jon) Granet, Tricia Johnson, and Mackey Johnson, and great grandchildren, Georgia Rae Anderson and Miles Brent Granet. He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Brent Anderson and eight brothers and sisters.
