Funeral services for Keith D. Stombaugh, 56, of Colona, IL, will be 10:00AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Stombaugh died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family. Memorials may be made to the family. Keith was born January 30, 1958, in Dixon, IL, the son of Harry and Shirley Runge Stombaugh. He married Dawn Covault September 6, 1980 in East Moline. He had been working at the Rock Island Arsenal as a production controller. Keith was a Dallas Cowboys fan and an Illini fan. He had been a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Dawn Stombaugh, Colona; daughter, Dana (John) Gross, Silvis, IL; sons, David (Julie) Stombaugh, Davenport, IA, and Mark (Crystal) Erickson, Colona; "daughter-in-law" Bonnie Dreifurst, Colona; grandchildren, Tyler, Torie, Faith, Eva, Dallas, Brandon, Natalie, and Peyton; great granddaughter, Avrie; sister, Debbie (T.A.) Lee, Winona, MN; brother, Ron Stombaugh (Sheryl George), Rock Island, IL; father-in-law, Wayne (Carolyn) Covault, Elizabethtown, KY; mother-in-law, Mary Jacobson, East Moline; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dana (Dan) Ernat, Milan, IL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike (Paula) Covault, LaGrange, KY.
