Kenneth Barham, 93, Moline, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Funeral services are 10 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Visitation is 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, Moline.
Kenneth was born on December 22, 1925 in Metropolis, IL, the son of James and Janie (Sullivan) Barham. He married Jacqueline Marie Rice on November 16, 1947. She died January 7, 2013. Ken was co-owner of the LeClaire Friendly Service station in Moline, and was a financial planner with Prime America. Mr. Barham authored two books and was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, Moline. Ken was a Chicago Cubs Fan, member of the Elks Club and owned stock cars. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and working in his yard. He liked traveling to Arizona, and loved the time with his family.
Kenneth served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his children; Dan Barham, Hampton, Chuck (Jackie) Barham, Moline and Sandy (Robert Steven) Rumph, Moline, grandchildren, Ann (Chris) Peterson, Tim (Nicole) Barham, Katie Barham, Shelley Rumph and Kevin Rumph, great-grandchildren, Coral, Camry, Zach and Elizabeth and his sister, Betty June Barham.
The family would like to thank the staff at Clarissa Cook Hospice for their care and compassion.
