Funeral services for Kenneth Clark, 74, of Silvis, IL, will be 4:00PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 1:00-4:00PM Sunday at the funeral home. Private committal will be held in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline, IL. Mr. Clark died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Ken was born August 1, 1934 in Moline the son of Lester and Geneva (Knobbs) Clark. He married Marylou Niswander October 3, 1954 in Moline, IL. She died March 13, 2004. He served in the US Army Reserve. He had been a repairman for Illinois Bell retiring in 1994 after 40 years of service. After retirement he could be found at Shooting Sports Unlimited, Moline, where he would spend time "talking with the boys". He had been a lifetime member of the NRA. He had been active in SASS (Single Action Shooting Society), where he was known as "Sassparilla Ken." He had been a loving husband, father and a devoted grandfather. Survivors include: sons and daughter-in-law, Christopher Clark of Chicago, IL, Timothy and Becky Clark of Davenport, IA; grandchildren Heather and Tyler Clark.
