Kenneth R. Pauly, 79, East Moline, died Monday, October 10, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. Funeral services are 10 AM Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum. Visitation is 4-7 PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30PM by Fr. Anthony Asinyo and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Memorials may be made to the Monsignor William J. Cleary Endowment Fund. Kenneth was born June 18, 1927, in Moline, the son of Archie and Blanche McKusker Pauly. He married Dorothy Konitzer, June 2, 1951 at St. Anne's. Ken graduated from Moline High School in 1945; he was an M-man in Basketball and football. He worked as an Industrial Engineer at Eagle Signal Co and AMCCOM, Rock Island Arsenal for over 40 years. He is an Army Air Force Veteran. He served on the Advisory Board of Catholic Charities, was a former Parish Council member of St. Anne's and served on the East Moline Park Board. He enjoyed attending city council meetings and was a Loyal St. Louis Cardinal Fan. Survivors include his wife Dorothy, children and spouses Mary Beth and Joe Bunt, Moline, Richard and Debbie Pauly, Milan, Mark and Peggy Pauly, Bettendorf, and Julie and Jeff Sellers, Rock Island, grandchildren (and spouses)Amy (Jason) Stumphy, Angela (Doug) Wassell, Jenna, Samantha, and Regina Pauly and Jeremy Sellers, great grandsons; Austin, Brady, Joey and Nicholas, sisters-in-law Janet Pauly, Marilyn (Gerard) Lampo, and brothers-in-law Frank (Judy) Konitzer and Vern Hagerman. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Eugene.
