Kenneth E. Walker, 70, formerly of Milan, IL, died Thursday, August 4, 2005, at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo, IL. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. Kenneth was born February 7, 1935 in Rock Island to William Walker and Helen Stamp Walker Holsteen. He married Margery Rollason May 10, 1963, in Milan. She died December 28, 1999. He was employed as an overhead electric crane operator for John Deere Harvester Works, Moline for 30 years, retiring January 1, 1989. He was a member of United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 434, East Moline. He was an honorary member of the Blackhawk Fire Protection District, Milan, IL, and he was a past member of the Rock Island Conservation Club. He enjoyed fishing and visiting with his friends at the Milan American Legion. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and John Buller, Coal Valley; sons and daughter-in-law, Dale and Brenda Garrett, LaPorte, Texas, Daniel Garrett, Baytown, Texas; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Dick Mead, Lakeland, FL; stepson, Alfred "Sonny" Rollason, Milan; four grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Jim Lukins, East Moline; brother and sister-in-law, William "Bill" and Peggy Walker, Rock Island.
