Kenneth Wheeler, 74, of Hampton, IL, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held at his house on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm. Private graveside services will be held at Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Ken was born November 23, 1941, in Hampton, the son of Edward and Gertrude Davis Wheeler. He married Barbara Johnson in 1967. She passed away September 20, 2010. He had worked for Franks Foundry, Moline, and retired from Russelloy Foundry, Durant, IA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushrooming, and wood carving. Ken was an outdoorsman who loved the river and spending time with his brother, Marv. Survivors include his daughters, Candy (Bob) Garrison, East Moline, and Penny (Donnie) Littig, Hampton; grandchildren, Christina, Wayne, Brittani, Zach, Cody, Jen, and Steph; great grandchildren, Bailey, Kyler, Chasity, Brookie, Kevin, and Evan; brother, Marvin (Fran) Wheeler, Hampton; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, son, Kenny; sister, Helen; and brother, Bill. Memorials may be made to Living Lands & Waters.
