Kenneth Ray Woods Sr., Rock Island, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 14, 2017. Private services will be held. Memorials may be made to Moose Charities or St. Jude's Children's Hospitals. Ken was born October 12, 1934 in Woodsbury, TN, the son of Yourree and Alta Mae (Haley) Woods. He married Alice Hofmann on December 24, 1958, and they had 2 children. He retired from Saelens Beverage as a liquor salesman and had tended bar at the Plantation, Marando's, Watchtower Inn and Lees. After retirement he worked for the American Red Cross and the YWCA. He had a strong work ethic and traditional values. He was a member of the Rock Island Moose. Survivors include children, Kenneth Woods, Jr., Rock Island and Debbie Dochterman, Silvis, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a sister Lura Parker, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and a grandson.
