Kevin H. Blakeney, 69, of East Moline, IL, passed away Sunday September 20, 2026, at Allure of Geneseo.

A memorial visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 28th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with a graveside service following at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary Cemtery, East Moline.

Kevin was born June 18, 1957, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania to Millard and Betty (Arvidson) Blakeney. He married Jean C. Goderis on November 28, 1990, in Rock Island, IL. She preceded him in death on July 31, 1996.

Kevin was a devoted father and grandfather. Kevin spent his career as a union meatcutter for area grocery stores for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and watching football. He was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Reece, West Des Moines, Iowa; son, Michael Blakeney, East Moline; grandson, Issac Kriener; brother, Mark Blakeney, Moline; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; parents, Millard and Betty; and brother, Steve Blakeney.
