Kimberly L. "Kim" Ziegler , 56, of Rock Island, IL, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL. Private interment will be at a later date at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26th, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Q.C. Animal Welfare Center, American Diabetes Association, or Arthritis Foundation.

Kimberly was born August 6, 1968, in Moline, Illinois, to Donald R. and Phyllis M. (Raymond) Beachler. She married Chad Ziegler on July 8, 1989 in Davenport, Iowa.

Kim was a C.N.A. for many years, including service as a travelling nurse and in orthopedic surgery.

Kim was a Christian of deep faith. Her intellect drove her curiosity, and she studied Biology, Sociology, Psychology and Theology at universities in Illinois, Iowa, Arizona and Missouri. Her compassion and desire to help focused her areas of study and vocation as well her love of animals.

Kim will be lovingly remembered for her extreme dedication to family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Chad, of Rock Island; mother, Phyllis M. Beachler, East Moline; uncle, Ronald E. (Marilyn) Raymond; cousins, Anne (Scott) Holtan, Amy (Doug) Zdansky and Alissa (Marty) Oliva; brothers-in-law, Brent (Karen) Ziegler and Derk (Mishelle) Ziegler; niece, Emily Ziegler; and close friends, Lesley McAdams and Dawn May.

Kim was preceded in death by her father, Donald; and uncle, Donald L. Raymond.
