Funeral services for Koiel A. Marsh, 92 of Silvis, formerly of Andover, IL and Westby, WI, will be Noon, Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Andover Cemetery, Andover, IL. Visitation will be from 10:30 until noon Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Marsh went to be with his beloved "Sally", Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to Osco Community Church, where he had been a member. Mr. Marsh was born May 6, 1913 in Fort Madison, IA, the son of Audie Alaska and Minnie (Parr) Marsh. He married Winona Nelson "Sally", July 7, 1935 in Moline, IL. She died March 29, 2003. He had worked at John Deere Spreader Works and Foundry, where he retired in 1972. Koiel was a craftsman who loved woodworking. He enjoyed music and playing the harmonica. In his earlier years, he had been a licensed River Pilot, working for the Corp of Engineers. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He led a good Christian Life and will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Stinocher of East Moline; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; sister, Doris Sheldon of Davenport, IA; brother, Lee Marsh of Indianola, IA; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Marsh of Bettendorf, IA.
