It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Korey M. Versluis, who died on June 7, 2025, at the age of 54.  He was born on April 7, 1971.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.  Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to the family who will use the contributions to fund a community potluck in his honor for his friends who meant so much to him at Heartland Towers.

Korey was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Indianapolis Colts.  He found great joy in the classic humor of the Three Stooges, spent countless hours engrossed in word puzzles, and cherished the time he spent with his friends in the Community Room at Heartland Towers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ken.

Korey is survived by his brother, Kevin (Kathy) Versluis of Geneseo, IL; sister, Karen (Gary) Wright of East Moline, IL; his beloved nieces and nephews; and his special friends at Heartland Towers, who brought so much warmth and camaraderie to his life.

Korey will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his loyal friendships, and the simple joys that brightened his days.
