Funeral services for Kristina M. Ornelis, 20, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30PM. Kristina drowned Tuesday, September 23, 2008 near the Steel Dam in Milan. In lieu of flowers and gifts, a memorial fund has been established. Kristina was born April 16, 1988 in Silvis, IL, the daughter of Richard and Lisa (Wilder) Ornelis. She had been attending Black Hawk College, Moline. Kristina had a big heart and was always a good friend. She had a way of always saying I love you and giving a hug and kiss goodbye. She was a loving mother who spent the first 3 months of her son's life at his bedside in Peoria, and is now watching over him from heaven. She enjoyed fishing and swimming. Survivors include: her son, Lawrence Logan Stone at home; mother, Lisa Ornelis of Moline, IL; father and step mother, Richard and a Tammi Ornelis of Creston, IA; brother, Joe Ornelis of Creston, stepbrothers Patrick Haugland and William Haugland, Creston, grandparents, Lewis and Carolyn Wilder of East Moline, and Betty Ornelis, Bettendorf and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends. She is preceded in death by her grandfather George Ornelis
