Funeral services for LaDonna Eugenia Spindel, 86, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Spindel died Friday, August 13, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the Church of the Nazarene. LaDonna Jacobs was born June 6, 1924 in Matherville, IL, the daughter of Lenard and Ivy Lewis Jacobs. She married Rev. Raymond D. Spindel January 18, 1947 in the Reorganized Church of the Latter Day Saints, Matherville. He died July 12, 1996. LaDonna had been a loving homemaker. Over the years, in association with Bible Missionary and Church of the Nazarene, she had helped raise funds for orphanages, missionaries, and churches. She enjoyed sewing and loved to raise flowers. She had been a member of Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, Colona, IL. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Gary Lindley of Port Byron, IL; sons and daughters-in-law, Lenard and Denise Spindel of Moline, IL, Donald and Vickie Spindel of Moline, Terry and Melony Spindel of Colona, and Marvin Spindel of Rock Island; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters,Leotta McClintoch, Neva McCaw, Emily Crow, Martha Lindburg, and Rosemary Jacobs, brothers, Frank Jacobs, Walter Jacobs, Clifford Jacobs, Marlowe Jacobs, Ronald Jacobs, Matthew Jacobs, and Max "Blackie" Jacobs.
