Funeral services for Larry S. Horton, 69, of Moline, IL, will be 11 am Wednesday at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Anyone attending is expected wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines. Entombment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Mr Horton died Thursday, December 24, 2020, at Genesis East, Davenport, IA.

Larry was born December 15, 1951, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Earl and Ruby Jane (Davis) Horton. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force September 15, 1971 and was honorably discharged in 1975. He married Roxann Mawby July 15, 1972, in Rock Fall, IL. He retired from the City of East Moline, after 28 years of service. The 2 greatest loves in his life were his love for his family and his love for his God, as he gladly served at Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Roxann Horton, Moline; children, Larry Jr, Nicole and Chad (Carleen); 10 wonderful grandchildren, Ashley, Owen, Aliza, Chris, Chad Jr., Elizabeth, Sean, Tyler, Evona, and Myles; siblings, Dave, Dan, Garry, Nancy, Penny, and Dawn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom.

In lieu of gifts and flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
