Funeral services for Larry L. Kissell, 57, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00 AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Kissell died Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis. Memorials may be made to the family. Larry was born January 15, 1952 in Moline, IL, the son of Robert and Mary (Townsend) Kissell. He married Katherine "Kathy" Raymond April 1, 1972 in Rock Island, IL. He retired in 2002, from the former Case/IH New Holland Plant, East Moline, where he had worked for over 20 years. He later worked for Quad City Brick and Stone, Bettendorf, IA. He was a generous man with a big heart and a good provider to many. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and cars. He loved all animals especially his dogs, Charlie and Mickey. Survivors include: his wife, Kathy Kissell of Silvis; daughters, Lori Kissell of East Moline, Camie Kissell at home; sons and daughter-in-law, Paul and Samantha Kissell of Dixon, IA, Christopher Kissell at home; granddaughter, Alexis Kissell; his mother, Mary Kissell of East Moline; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Jerry Belha of Milan, IL; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Kissell Jr. of Harrison, Nebraska, Terry and Pam Kissell of Moline.
