Larry Longnecker, 75, of Erie, IL, formerly of Silvis, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Genesis, Silvis. A Celebration of Life will be held at the East End Club, Moline, Wednesday, November 14, 2018, from 2-5 PM.

Larry was born August 8, 1943, in Little Rock, AR, the son of Porter and Ruth Staley Longnecker. He married Linda Tinker August 18, 1963, at the First Christian Church, East Moline. He retired from John Deere Harvester, East Moline, after 30 plus years of service. Fishing was the highlight of his life. He was an avid bass fisherman and he loved to make his own lures. He enjoyed woodworking and made furniture for his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Linda; children, James (Tiffany) Longnecker, Moline, IL, Sean Longnecker (Missy Varner) Silvis, and Jason (Cynthia) Longnecker, Colona, IL; grandchildren, Brandon, Trey, Emily, Kartee, Sallee, River, Hunter, and Ronny Jr.; siblings, Mary (Tom) Harper, Sammamish, WA, Patricia (Scott) Frazelle, Geneseo, IL, James (Connie) Longnecker, Machesney Park, IL, Mearle (Sheryl) Longnecker, Rockford, IL, Clara (Jerry) Miller, Milan, IL, and Mark (Kari) Longnecker, New Albany, IN; best friend and "adopted brother", Harold Wheeler, Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
