Funeral services for Larry L. Petersen, 72, of Milan, IL, will be 10 AM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Miles Cemetery, Miles, IA. Visitation will be 5-7PM Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Petersen died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Trinity Bettendorf. Larry was born May 11, 1939 in Clinton County, IA, the son of Ervin and Dorothy (Huebner) Petersen. He served in the US Navy. He retired from the Machine Shop at Alcoa, Bettendorf in October of 1993. Survivors include his sister, Carol Fuller, Sun City, AZ, brother and sister-in-law Wesley and Laverne Petersen, Princeton, IA, nieces, nephews and his special friend, Helen Scott, Milan. Larry is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Elaine Goodman and Burneil Christopherson.
