Laura I. Riojas, 65, of East Moline, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, at MercyOne-Genesis, Silvis.

A celebration of life visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with a time for family and friends to share memories at 6:45 pm.  Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.

Laura was born on February 17, 1960, in Moline, the daughter of Juan and Beatriz (Alaniz) Riojas.  Laura graduated from UTHS class of '78 and went on to get her associates degree from Blackhawk College.  She worked in cosmetology and at the arsenal for a while and then got the privilege of staying home with her son.  Laura enjoyed all art, especially drawing and excelled with anything computer related.  She watched K-dramas and listened to K-Pop.

Laura is survived by her mother, Beatriz Riojas; sons, Christopher (Ashley) Riojas and Christian Turner; grandchildren, Aria, Mya, and Zane Riojas; brother, Javier (Lydia) Riojas; nephews, Julio and Elias Riojas; niece, Brittany Willey; and numerous other extended family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father; life-partner, Kevin Jones; granddaughter, Ryla Riojas; and baby sisters, Elsa and Annabelle Riojas.
