Funeral services for Laura M. Sadnick, 98, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:30AM Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 2:00PM. Mrs. Sadnick died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Laura Verstraete was born October 11, 1909 in Essen, Belgium, the daughter of Cyriel and Marie (Ryckeghem) Verstraete. She married William C. Sadnick November 20, 1929 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline, IL. He died January 1, 1990. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and taking care of her home. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her family was the most important thing in her life, she was especially proud of her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Marian and Arnold DeBaillie of Evansville, IN, Bernice Mohr of East Moline, Carolyn and Kenneth DeBlieck of Cordova, IL; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
