LaVerne D. Hagerman, 89, East Moline, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the home of his daughter in Sherrard, IL. Funeral services are 10 AM Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Visitation is 4-7 PM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. LaVerne was born on June 10, 1928 in Silvis, the son of Frank and Hannah (Johannsen) Hagerman. He married Dolores Konitzer on May 8, 1954 in East Moline. Dolores died on July 20, 2000. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. LaVerne retired after 38 years from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and was co-chair of the Basement to Attic Sale for over 20 years. LaVerne enjoyed going to Jumer's Casino. Survivors include his children, Patty (Adam) Miller, Sherrard, and David Hagerman, East Moline, grandchildren, Jim Runge, Greg Runge and David Hagerman and great grandchildren, Tyler Runge, Isabella Runge, Drew Runge, Drew Hagerman and Avery Hagerman. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
