Lawrence "Larry" E. Vian , 76, of Silvis, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Harmony, Davenport, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Moline Memorial Park, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN or River Bend Food Bank, Davenport, IA.

Lawrence was born February 11, 1949, in Savanna, IL, to James and Dorothy (Ulmer) Vian. He was previously married to Arleta Wilt. He later married Mary (Brookhart) Martin on October 5, 1992, in Fulton, IL.

Larry was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a supervisor for ADM for 38 years. He retired in 2011.

He enjoyed woodworking and model trains.

Surviving are his wife, Mary, of Silvis; daughters, Michelle (Chad) Meurer, Ashton, IL, Melissa Vian (Ian Marriott), Charlotte, NC, and Melinda (Paul) Turner, Clinton, IA; stepson, Jeff (Heather) Martin, East Moline; two grandchildren, Mitchell Meurer and Preston Martin (Jena Evans); great grandson, Brandon; and one sister, Marie Norris, Mountain Home, AR.

Larry was preceded in death by his stepson, Joel Martin; parents, James and Dorothy; and brother-in-law, Ron Norris.
