Cook Hospice House or Christ the King Church.
Larry was born 23 February 1948 in Bettendorf, Iowa, son of Cletus and Mary Foehrkolb. He married Susan Balkan on 8 August 1970 in East Moline.
Larry was a US Navy and Vietnam veteran. He was the recipient of several honors, to include a Navy Unit Commendation and the Navy Achievement Medal for Valor in Combat.
He retired from Moline Paint/ValSpar, Moline, after never quite landing his dream job as an eye closer at a sardine factory in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Larry was kind hearted and loved to share a story, making everyone feel welcomed. He was a lover of books, Westerns, the outdoors, and would share his sense of humor with anyone nearby. Larry possessed innate superior card playing ability, although he'd occasionally allow miserable lowlife bottom-feeding egg sucking curs and snot-nosed punk kids to win.
Surviving are his wife, Susan, of East Moline; son, Matthew (Colleen) Foehrkolb, Herndon, VA; daughter, Jamie (Chris) Hendrickx, Plant City, FL; grandchildren, Grace and Rowan; brothers, Clark Foehrkolb, Silvis, IL and Keith (Lisa) Foehrkolb, Colona, IL; sister, Nancy Widger, Beecher, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
