Lawrence “Larry” G. Lopez, 67, of Moline, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Divine Mercy Parish at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with recitation of the rosary at 3:00 pm. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Larry was born on October 9, 1958, in Peoria, IL, the son of Gilbert and Mary (Sandoval) Lopez. He worked as a Technical Trainer at Bridgestone Bandag. Larry was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed traveling and loved the time spent with his family.

Larry is survived by his children, Travis (Kristin) Lopez, Bryan (Seth Carlson) Lopez, and Alyse Schmidt; grandchildren, Ava, Finley, Jett, and Kaiya; mother, Mary Lopez and siblings, Ladislada Rangel, Mario Lopez, and Gilbert F. Lopez. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert T. Lopez and infant sister, Ladislada Lopez.
