Funeral services for Lawrence "Larry" Troutwine, 78 East Moline, are 10 AM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 2-5PM today (Sunday) at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Moline. Mr. Troutwine died Friday, October 13, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. Larry was born November 6, 1927 in Boone, IA, the son of Canada and Hanna (Harris) Troutwine. He married Phyllis Eastman, September 15, 1956 in Cedar Falls, IA. Larry served in the US Army. He retired in 1984 as an inspector from John Deere Foundry. After retirement he did lawnmower and chainsaw repair. He also built grandfather clocks, shelving and tables. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Phyllis, daughter and son-in-law Becky and Gary Layman, Moline, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Gail Troutwine, Davenport, grandchildren (spouse) Megan (Jim) Lance, Amanda Layman, Christian Troutwine and Derrick Troutwine, great-granddaughters Emma and Anna Lance brothers; Frank Troutwine, Colona and Donald (Donna) Troutwine, Waterloo, IA, and his poodle, Peach. He is preceded in death by 8 brothers and 1 sister.
