Funeral services for Lee E. Daebelliehn, 64, Moline, are 1PM Friday, at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 5-7 PM Thursday at the funeral Home. Mr. Daebelliehn died Monday, May 19, 2008 at his home. Memorials may be made to The Children's Hospital at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Lee was born June 2, 1943 in Moline, the son of Harold and Lela (DeBruycker) Daebelliehn. He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1961. He married Karen Marsden in 1962 in Moline. Lee retired as a blacksmith from John Deere Harvester, East Moline. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a sports fan and enjoyed coaching in his earlier years. He also enjoyed working in his yard and woodworking. Mr. Daebelliehn was a former member of the American Legion and the VFW and the UAW local 865. Survivors include his children; Darci Woken, and Bruce Daebelliehn both of East Moline, his grandson; Connor Woken, sister Elodie Betzle, East Moline and brother John Arnett, Rock Island.
