Lena M. Gooch, 87, a resident of New Perspective Senior Living in Silvis, formerly of East Moline, passed away Wednesday August 19, 2020 at her residence. A visitation for Lena will be held from 10-11AM Saturday August 22, 2020 at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., in East Moline. Graveside services will immediately follow the visitation at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Lena was born July 9, 1933 near Brookfield, MO, a daughter of Elco and Ethel (Dowell) Davolt. She married Leland Gooch on June 10, 1951 in Brookfield. He passed away October 11, 2016. Lena was a loving and caring lifelong homemaker who enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed vacationing, especially out west, and was an accomplished artist having received a degree from the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

She is survived by 2 sons: Dave (Marci) Gooch of Colona, and Gregg Gooch (Kathleen Qualls) of Milan; 2 grandchildren: Joshua Gooch (Mary Lamer) of Seattle, WA and Bridget (Chad) Gooch-Liske of Davenport; and 1 great-granddaughter, Madison.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Norma.
