Leon Shamasko, 94, East Moline, died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Private inurnment will be in Moline Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, where he was a member. Leon was born July 6, 1913 in Craig OK, the son of Sigmon and Annie (Rice) Shamasko. He married Isabel Steelandt on July 1, 1939 at St. Anne's Church. He retired in 1971 as an assembler from the former International Harvester Works, East Moline. Leon enjoyed playing cards and watching sports and westerns. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Judith and Rollie Seger, Port Byron, four grandchildren 3 and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, daughter Sandra Flowers his parents and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
