Funeral services for Leonard Terronez, 81, East Moline, are 1 PM Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, with military honors. Visitation is 4-7PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4 PM. Leonard died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island. A memorial fund has been established. Leonard was born July 22, 1929 in East Moline, the son of Conception and Guadalupe (Ramirez) Terronez. He married Elizabeth McLaren March 6, 1957. She died July 18, 2000. Leonard served in the US Air Force as an Automatic Flight Systems Instructor retiring in 1969. He enjoyed his family and being with friends. Survivors include his daughter Pauline Terronez, East Moline, grandchildren; Chance Huston, Zachary Huston and Remington Jennings, great grandchildren; Grace and Brandt and his siblings; Mathew Terronez, East Moline, Juanita Delgado, Silvis, Mike Terronez, Rockford and Asjacinta Cerda, Rock Island. He is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth, brothers Manuel and Julius and a sister Pauline.
