Lester A. Jarvis, 55, of East Moline, IL, formerly of Hodges Park, IL, passed away on Sunday June 4, 2017 at Genesis East, Davenport, IA. Graveside services will be 9:00 am Thursday at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend should be at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, by 8:30 am. Lester was born July 15, 1961 in Chicago, IL, the son of LeRoy Sr. and Lessie (Smith) Jarvis. He married Anja Schulz December 14, 1994, in Killeen, TX. Lester worked for the Rock Island Arsenal for 17 years as a fork lift operator. He enjoyed sports, listening to old school music, and being with friends and family. He is survived by his wife: Anja Jarvis, Germany; children, Telicia Jarvis of South Dakota, Jamal Jarvis and Shania Jarvis, both of Germany; 5 grandchildren; and sisters: Sandra Jarvis of Carbondale, IL, and Carol Jarvis of Harvey, IL.
