Memorials services for Lillian L. Bergren, 83, of Rock Island, IL, will be 4:00 PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Committal services will be held at a later date. Mrs. Bergren died Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Parkview Terrace Health Care Center, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Lillian Hudson was born August 16, 1925 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Harry and Francis (Jones) Hudson. She married John C. Smith in 1944. She later married Walter Bergren February 14, 1964. He died in February of 1971. She retired from the former St. Luke's Hospital Davenport, IA, in 1988 after many years of service. She had been a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Phillip Rogers of Tempe, AZ, Lois and Greg Sovanski, of Moline, IL, Alexis Medina of Homer, Alaska; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Halstead of AZ, Harriet Baker of Canton, IL.
