Funeral services for Lillie B. Wasson, 102, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Wasson died Sunday February 13, 2011 at Aspen Health and Rehab, Silvis, IL. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Endowment Fund. Lillie was born March 25, 1908 in Industry, IL, to J. Oliver and Inza Campbell Martin. She married Kenneth Wasson March 21, 1928 in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1993. She worked many years running their own restaurant in Winfield, IA, and as a waitress at the former Hasty Tasty Restaurant in Moline. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Doris Wasson of Silvis; grandchildren (spouses), Janet (Tom) Struss of Aurora, CO, Jeff (Dianne) Wasson of Iowa City, IA; great grandchildren, David Struss, Annika and Trevor Wasson; surviving sister, Leona Gates of Goleta, CA; nieces and nephews.
