Linda A. Backmann, 77, of East Moline, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Moline.

Linda was born on November 5, 1948, in Elmhurst, IL, the daughter of Cecil and Sarah (Price) Dallas. She worked as a choir director for Elim Covenant Church along with a few others. Her passion was everything music, from directing choirs, singing, and playing piano. Linda enjoyed cooking, her plants, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her children, James Tripp, Moline, Sean (Chelsea) Tripp, Moline, and Whitney Cameron, Grand Isle, VT; significant other, Raymond Milleville; grandchildren, Lyric Tripp, McCoy Lesley, Jaelynn Morris, Henry Tripp, William Tripp, Teagan Cameron, and Jayce Cameron; and siblings, Patricia Whiting, William Dallas, David Dallas, Mike Dallas, Elizabeth Mooncotch, and Joseph Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kimberly Underwood.
