Linda C. Kennedy, 68, of East Moline, IL, passed away, Monday, December 11, 2023, at Genesis Silvis. There will be a Celebration of Life from 1-4 pm Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the Eagle's Club, Carbon Cliff, IL.

Linda Simmons was born August 26, 1955, in Carthage, IL, the daughter of James E. and Glenda L. Ward Simmons. She married Patrick Kennedy July 19, 1980, in Rock Island. He passed away January 14, 2016. She worked for several years at Mi-Pa-Nora in Rock Island.

Survivors include her children, Doug (Stace) Freeze, Orange, TX, and Karice Brodnax, Loveland, CO; grandchildren, Malachi, Delanie, Kennedy, Ashley, Sebastian, and Shalynn; great grandchildren, Amora and Paisley; siblings, Larry (Kelly) Simmons, Davenport, IA, Steve (Becky) Simmons, Moline, Janice Ward, Davenport, Mark Simmons, East Moline, Tim (Lori) Simmons, Colona, Chuck Hagmen, Shad Simmons, Sandra Dittman, Ward Simmons and Richard Simmons; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Karen Howes, Michael Simmons, and David Simmons.
