Memorial services for Linda Olson, 63, of East Moline, IL, will be 1:00 PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home on Monday. Linda died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at home. The former Linda Lundeen was born November 8th, 1951 in Moline, the daughter of Fred and Alice Lundeen Jr. She married Stephen Olson in May 1973 in Moline. During the 1980's she was a real estate agent with David M. Weiner and associates. After the housing market crashed, she was employed by the Rock Island Arsenal Federal Credit Union at the Rock Island Arsenal. She graduated from Black Hawk College in May 1994 with an associates degree in political science. She was very active in the National Organization for Women and was the Illinois state president for two years. She later worked at the National NOW office in Washington, D.C. for a short time. She was an avid reader and music lover. She donated tremendous amounts of time and energy to the cause of women around the world, as well as her family. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by everyone that came in contact with her, especially her niece, Ashley Lisenbee. She is survived by her father, Fred Lundeen Jr; children, Shannon (Floyd) Dopler and Thomas Olson; four grandchildren, Heaven Wages, Fabrey (Don) Morey; Joe Blasdell and Korina Blasdell; two great grandchildren, Gavin and Zanne; sisters, Alana Lundeen and Leslie Lisenbee;. She was preceded in death by her mother; daughter, Suzanne Blasdell; two sisters, Leesa Hartley, and Peggy Jo Trask. Memorials may be made to the family.
