Funeral services for Linford H. Adams, 89, of East Moline, Il, will be 10:00AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00-4:00 PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mr. Adams died Friday, June 13, 2014, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis Health Services Foundation or Clarissa Cook Hospice House. Linford was born August 5, 1924, in Waco, Nebraska, the son of Harry and Anna Fischer Adams. He married Virginia Huyvaert June 11, 1955, in East Moline, IL. She died March 18, 1994. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from John Deere Harvester, East Moline, in November 1, 1983, after 42 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and dancing with his girlfriend, Gay. His favorite pastime was spoiling his granddaughter, Anna, and attending her horse shows. Survivors include his daughter, Amy (Jeff) Wilhelm, Shannon, IL; son, Cliff Adams, Alexis, IL; granddaughter, Anna Wilhelm; sister-in-law, June Adams, Beaver Crossing, NE; girlfriend, Gay Speidel, Colona, IL.
