Funeral services for Lloyd G. Stoneburg, 82, East Moline, are 10 AM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. Visitation is 2-5PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Stoneburg died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline in his mother Theresa's name. Lloyd Stoneburg was born, October 29, 1922 in D'hanis, Texas, the son of Frank and Theresa (Poster) Stoneburg. He married Lois Kinnamon, in October of 1952. Lloyd retired as a tractor operator from the former Farmall, Rock Island after 28 years. He served in the US Army as a cannonneer during WWII receiving many ribbons and decorations. He was a self-taught pilot who loved to fly and owned his own plane. He had an unconditional love for his family and always made time for his grand and great grandchildren. Survivors include a son Bruce Stoneburg, East Moline, daughter Melody (Joe) DeSchepper, Rock Island, step-daughter Judy (Joe) Condrack, Rock Island, grandchildren Andrea Anderson, Barnabas Stoneburg, Deven DeSchepper, and Stephanie Coutts, great-grandchildren Kaillee, Alanna and Harrison and a sister Lucille Crouch and brother Harry Stoneburg, and a very special woman Lois Stoneburg, East Moline.
