Lois Leemans, 74, of Moline, IL, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, IL. A Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 AM Thursday November 12, 2009 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Memorials may be made to the family. Lois Konitzer was born February 24, 1935 in Moline, the daughter of Otto and Lydia Pecaut Konitzer. She married Eugene Leemans May 3, 1958 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. She had worked as an OB Nurse at the former Mercy Hospital Davenport, IA. Lois had been a mother and nurse to all, whether it was her family, the neighbors, or someones pet. Most of her life had been spent in care of others. Her faith had been very important to her and remained so until the end. Lois chose to donate her body to the University of Iowa College of Medicine, so that others may learn from her. Survivors include, her husband of 51 years, Eugene Leemans of Moline; daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Bill Vroman of Andalusia, IL, Carolyn and Bryce Winkler of Virginia Beach, VA, Ann and Dave Udelhofen of Dubuque, IA; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Christine Leemans of Le Claire, IA, Tom and Elizabeth Leemans of East Moline, Bob and Lisa Leemans of Galva, IL; 10 grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, O. Joe and Mary Jane Konitzer of Colona, IL, E. Jim and Carole Konitzer of Colona, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Phyllis Comp. Sweet Pea, We'll all miss you!
