Lois E. Thompson, 97, formerly of Ridgewood Towers, East Moline, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at Havasu Nursing Center in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Lois Riemcke was born July 15, 1918, in Muscatine, the daughter of William M. and Hazel Mae Fry Riemcke. She married Eldon D. Thompson June 21, 1950, in Davenport. He died Dec. 7, 1978. Surviving are her daughter, Judy and husband, Archie Markham, grandson, Todd Markham, granddaughter, Sarah (Cory) Hall, all of Havasu City; granddaughter, Leanne Cloud and her husband, Kevin, great-granddaughters, Keitan and Karli and a great-grandson, Kevin Jr., all of Las Vegas, Nev. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one grandson, Gregory Dippel. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of East Moline. There is no visitation but all are welcome to a graveside service on Friday, March 4, at 10 a.m., at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. I wish a special thank you to Pastor Becky Sherwood.
