Lorene Castleman, 90, formerly of East Moline, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Providence Marianwood, Issaquah, WA. Memorial services will be 7PM Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Committal services will be 1PM Friday at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL. Visitation is from 5PM until service time at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. M. Lorene Lamb was born May 19, 1922 in Illiopolis, IL, the daughter of George and Anna Pryor Lamb. She served as a Wave in the US Navy Reserves during WWII and was stationed at Pearl Harbor. She married Allen J. Castleman on February 15, 1947 in Springfield, IL. Allen died October 3, 1997. Survivors include her children, Richard Castleman, Sammamish, WA, Cynthia Kilgore, Davenport, IA, Robert Castleman, Chicago, IL, Roger Castleman, East Moline, IL., 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen, brother Leonard Lamb, sisters Agnes Abbott, Hazel Richards and Betty Wallace, and a great grandson, Joey Stephenson.
