Lorene M. Dussliere, 93, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Funeral services are Monday at 10:00 am at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday 2:00-5:00 pm at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to St. Anne Church, East Moline, where she was a member, or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.

Lorene Seitz was born February 6, in Moline, the daughter of Jess and Ida Lorene (Bridges) Seitz. She graduated from United Township High School the class of 1942. She attended Moline Business School and was employed at International Harvester.

Lorene married her high school sweetheart, Albert Dussliere, September 18, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline, and celebrated seventy one wonderful years together. He died October 13, 2017.

Lorene was a volunteer at Illini Hospital for forty years. She was a founding member of the Black Hawk Chapter Epilepsy Foundation. She was a former golfer, avid Notre Dame fan and wife of former East Moline mayor, Albert Dussliere. Lorene delighted in spending time with her children, grand children and grand dogs.

Survivors include her children, Theresa (Dr. Daniel) Voltz, Wooster, Ohio, Philip (Helen) Dussliere, Rock Island, and Steven (Kayla) Dussliere, East Moline, grandchildren Andrew and Conrad Voltz, Heidi (Mitch) Forney, Talisa Dussliere (Josh) Corcoran, and Justin Oden, great granddaughter Elizabeth Forney, and her brother Harold Seitz, East Moline.

Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother Ival Seitz, and a grandson John Smithson.
