Obituary

"Lorny" Lawrence J. Heydeman Sr., 83, of Moline passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.

Cremation has been accorded. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family visitation will be held at Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., East Moline. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to his family.

Lorny was born November 22, 1937 in Moline, a son of Prosper and Bertha (VanDeWalle) Heydeman. He attended St. Mary's Catholic grade school and Alleman High School. Lorny married Gloria J. King on October 27, 1962. Lorny retired from the City of East Moline, IL. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed watching old westerns. Lorny thought he was the "Euchre Champion of the World".

Survivors include his 3 children: Joe(Angela)Heydeman, Patrick(Bonnie)Heydeman and Penny(Dan)Maldonado; 8 Grandchildren: Kyle(Amy),Kati Jo(Corey), Alissa(Scott),Zac(Paige), Logan(Callie), Ryan, Brooke, Ellie(Elise); 11 Great Grandchildren: Caleb, Hudson, Alice, Zander, Jeri Kay, Sawyer, Harper, Natalie, Rilley, Jorgia, Jasper and his cat "Little Guy"; 3 Siblings: MaryAnn DeDecker, JoAnn Newton, Lenny (Jane)Heydeman and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and ex-wife Gloria J. Heydeman.
