E. Lorraine Carlson, 81, of East Moline, IL, died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home. Luncheon is at noon Thursday at 1430 18th St., East Moline. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family. Lorraine Willett was born April 8, 1931 in Alpha, IL, the daughter of Harold D. and Bessie R. (Chesley) Willett. She married Robert E. Carlson June 12, 1949 in Alpha, IL. He died in 1996. She had worked as a waitress at the Holiday Inn, Moline, the Stardust, Moline, and Sambo's, Rock Island. She had been a lifetime Chicago Cubs Fan. She loved her family deeply. Survivors include her daughter, Cheri (Barry) Kespohl, East Moline; son Tim Carlson, East Moline; grandchildren, Amanda (Jorge), Jessica (Bill), Kayleigh, Harley, Andrew, and Eric; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Aleecia, Kaleb, Chelsie, Marissa, Alissa, Mersadies, Jacob, and Gabriella; brothers, Dick (Verna) Willett, Bettendorf, IA, Leroy (Donna) Willett, Woodhull, Dale (Joyce) Willett, AZ; brother-in-law, Roy Swartzkopf, Woodhull; best friend, Betty Siedlitz; close family friends, Dennis Henderson and Aaron Smith; all her friends at Westwood Terrace, Moline; her pets, King and Frisky.
